At Diamond Lab, we proudly provide a 30-day return guarantee to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If, for any reason, you’re not entirely satisfied with your order, you can simply return it within 30 days for a full refund or an exchange. Our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and quality is evident in all our jewelry creations.

Diamond Lab is pleased to offer free return shipping for all ring, loose diamond, loose gemstone, and finished jewelry orders. We’ll supply you with a complimentary FedEx return shipping label, making the return process convenient and straightforward. Please remember that returned items must be in unworn condition and accompanied by all original documentation. Engraved rings are also eligible for return and exchange, with a nominal $40 fee for engraving removal.

Certain orders, however, are non-returnable, including personalized fine jewelry items, modified or resized rings, items that have been previously exchanged, layaway orders after 30 days from purchase, and custom-designed jewelry. Please note that any alterations to orders currently in process will void the complimentary resize, return, and exchange policies. If you have a specific request for a later delivery date, your 30-day return/exchange period commences on the date your order was first available for shipping or pickup, depending on your preference.

To maintain the integrity of our products and to keep our prices competitive, Diamond Lab does not permit the purchase of multiple items for the sole purpose of comparison. This practice, known as comparison purchasing, involves buying multiple products with the intention of returning most of them. Orders suspected of being comparison purchases may not be eligible for our return policy. We are committed to delivering the highest quality and service to our valued customers.

How To Return An Order?

1. Obtain the Return Shipping Authorization Code: Contact us or e-mail us to obtain return shipping authorization and request your free FedEx return shipping label. Write your return shipping authorization code on the outside of the package you are returning. (Please note that the free FedEx return shipping label only applies to ring, loose diamond, and loose gemstone order from the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.)

2. Packing your order: For all returns and exchanges, include all original packaging and accompanying materials, including the packing slip and all diamond certificates (a $250 replacement fee per certificate will be charged otherwise).For resizes, do not include original certificates and accompanying materials. For security reasons, do not write jewelry, diamonds or other related words anywhere on the package.

3. Shipment and Insurance: To ensure insurance coverage when using your FedEx prepaid label, you must employ the “double box” method and follow these instructions: Place your item inside its original ring/jewelry box. If possible, use the original packaging from your order for your convenience. Put the ring/jewelry box inside a medium box. Then, place the medium box inside a larger box. If you don’t have the original packaging, include the ring/jewelry box inside a small FedEx Priority box and seal it. Finally, put the small FedEx Priority box inside a medium FedEx Priority box. Affix the label to the outside of the larger box and drop it off at your nearest FedEx location. Please note that Brilliant Earth and FedEx are not liable for packages left in FedEx Drop Boxes or non-FedEx staffed locations. Ensure you obtain a FedEx receipt as proof of shipment and insurance coverage.

4. Alternative Shipping Method: If you opt to use a different shipping method, you are free to choose any carrier. For your protection, please ensure your item is shipped fully insured, with a signature requirement, and request a return receipt to confirm delivery to Brilliant Earth. Please be aware that Brilliant Earth is not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping.

Refund Process

Upon receiving your returned order, our Quality Assurance department will conduct an inspection to verify the item’s condition. Typically, returns take about five business days to process from the date of receipt. Refunds will be issued through the same method of payment used in the original purchase. International bank wire purchases will be refunded in USD based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase. Please note that Diamond-Lab is not responsible for differences in foreign currency refund amounts due to exchange rate fluctuations between the time of purchase and refund. Additionally, any foreign exchange or other fees charged by your financial institution are not the responsibility of Diamond-Lab . For all credit card refunds, please allow one monthly billing cycle for the credit to appear.

Packages that were refused delivery will not be eligible for a refund and may incur a minimum restocking charge of $50.

Returns showing signs of wear, engraving, personalization, alterations, resizing, or damage will not be accepted for return. Improperly packaged or uninsured items will be declined upon receipt.
